The pdf file explains why we call SOMREs "the medicine for the earth". We have discovered them after 30 years' research. They are plant root regulators and show their activity in the concentration range of 1.0 to 0.001 ppm  aqueous and/or ethanol containing solution.

Some of them exhibit potent root promoting activity. Plant roots become 2 to 3 times longer than usual. The strong possibility to stop food shortage in the world by producing much food than usual with the application of SOMRE to crop plants is described together with concrete examples.

The root promoting effect is especially useful for making desert full of plants for combating global warming. At Gobi desert in Inner Mongolia, China, we have carried out various experiments for 5 years as a volunteer activity employing SOMREs to the native wild plants.

As a model for the aerial scatter, the first trial in the world, throwing  native plant seeds pretreated with SOMRE#1 on the flow dune while walking, was carried out at Gobi desert in the end of May 2007. After leaving them under natural conditions for two months, the germination rate was 0.1%. It is a wonderful results comparing with the 0% obtained by thus far examined variety of so-called best method.

On May 17th, 2008, we made clay dumplings containing SOMRE treated native plant seeds inside. Again we threw them on the flow dune surface. On October 5th, 2008, we achieved germination rate of 0.5%. Employed plant seeds throughout our experiments are those of 1:1 mixture of native Hed ysarum scoparium and Calligonum alashanicum.

Based on the above successful results, we proposed a concrete and the most effective method for combating desertification and stopping global warming: it is an aerial scatter of clay dumpling containing seeds  pretreated with SOMRE by airplane.

This technique can change a wide range of flow dunes into half fixation or fixed dunes at a time. Repeated trials would result in turning them to green lands and stopping outbreak of yellow sand. In the near future, a lot of newly grown trees and grass absorb much quantity of carbon dioxide culminating in stopping global warming. Thus, we believe SOMRE compounds become “the medicine for the earth.”

Based on the above success, we have carried out an aerial scatter of pre-treated seeds with SOMRE by airplane to 90 ha of Gobi desert on June 20, 2010, with the cooperation of Alashang Meng Government, Arm Forces, and the NPO International Desert's Green Assoc. Now, follow-up survey is in progress.

Details of the aerial scatter is shown in the item 6.
